Study on Beat Vibration of a High Temperature Superconducting EDS Maglev Vehicle at Low Speed

Vertical displacement acceleration and the pitch angle record produce phenomenon of beat vibration when testing a 200 m electro-dynamic suspension (EDS) magnetic levitation (maglev) test vehicle with high-temperature superconducting (HTS) at CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd., where is clamped in planar motion. First, to examine this phenomenon, paper establishes dynamic equations three degrees freedom (DOF), force on each magnet (SCM) calculated by circuit theory. Second, theory vertical equilibrium point obtained from average for different velocity magneto-motive (MMF) SCM. Third, decouples SCM forces other using MATLAB/SIMULINK, multi-body model six DOF developed SIMPACK. All displacements responses, as well response simulation, appear show since there are two closing natural frequencies approximately 2 Hz 2.4 Hz. Finally, based traversing method considering influence velocity, initial displacement, MMF SCM, frequently utilized study mean amplitude that angle. The results increasing or could decrease angle; little larger than point; small near point. Both numerical experimental verify validity mechanical paper.
